Oasis is an international quality 5-year-old 16.3hh KWPN gelding with 3 very high quality gaits, fantastic rideability and full set of clean xrays with a PPE report on file. “Oasis" is defined as a place of peace, safety or happiness in the midst of hectic pace or difficulty.” As his name suggests, this stunning 5 year old Dutch registered gelding is a treat to sit upon. He has a fantastic mind and rideability, he is not spooky or tense but powers forward underneath you with an impressive hindleg and mechanic. Naturally balanced, his elastic, active gaits are channeled by his riders vs. ‘made.’ Having trained a large amount of nice quality young horses he is a rare gem. His walk trot and canter have loads of quality and scope to them. His rideability and willingness under saddle is top. His legs are clean and blemish free with a lovely set of feet. An extensive set of radiographs are available; feet, leg, neck and back. In short, a dream horse for any serious AdAm rider or professional wanting a very high quality horse to develop for future high sport. He is already schooling all elements for the FEI 5 year old tests this summer, leg yield, shoulder fore, and smaller circles, offering clean changes in the right moments. Oasis’ sire Franklin has been dominating the top of the world dressage scene for many years now. Franklin was crowned KWPN Champion Stallion, he then became winner of his stallion performance test in the Netherlands, he was a finalist at the World Championships for young dressage horses, is now scoring 72%+ Grand Prix. Last year he was appointed Danish Warmblood Elite Stallion because of the success of his offspring including the first of his foals reaching Grand Prix levels themselves. At a young age his offspring are already on the Grand Prix scene; Fendi winning the prestigious final of the Louisdor Prize with Sönke Rothenberger with almost 80 percent, they are placing at the World Championships of Young Dressage Horses and dominating the top fields of many classes in Wellington. Franklin is known for stamping his progeny with active fluid gaits, modern types and in my experience very good xray health.

Oasis’ dam Premium Mare Restique (Redwine x Gribaldi) is another reason for his success. The Dutch blood of Franklin (Ampere x Ferro) brings the trot and canter activity, xray health and modern refinement while his mother’s lines bring rideability, elasticity and a high quality walk to the table. Her dam sire Redwine (Rotspon x Matcho) scored straight 10’s for his Character, Constitution and Rideability at his 70 Day Stallion Performance Testing in Germany. His kind, calm temperament, flashy looks and supple gaits made his offspring popular as dressage horses and among many top hunter-jumper programs. Restique’s dam sire Gribaldi is not just a successful Grand Prix dressage horse but also stands as one of the most influential dressage sires in history, producing legions of Grand Prix horses including his son Totilas.

Oasis is ready to dominate in FEI 5 Year Old dressage classes this summer. His stunning type, gaits, clean xrays, mature brain and flashy looks make him a dream horse for any serious dressage rider. His full older brother was sold last year to a US AdAm rider and has excelled with her. Oasis was professionally started slowly and is ready for his next big step. He is not spooky, he does not require lunging before each ride, he can be hacked alone outside and school in a large outdoor ring without a fence. He cross ties, stall ties, clips, baths, stands quietly for the farrier, loads easily on a trailer. He has had his teeth power floated and is up to date on his deworming and vaccines. He is a healthy, sound boy with a full set of feet, leg, back and neck xrays on file that are clean along with a PPE report done by a sport horse vet. He has straight legs and great quality feet, just shod normally in front. He is a full day calm turnout horse alone or in a smaller same sex group.

 

Oasis VDB is priced at 70K USD and is located an hour and 45 mins east of the Toronto Pearson International Airport. Assistance with travel plans, airport pick up and accommodations are available to interested parties. Export to the US on an air ride trailer is easily arranged with a current negative Coggins test and a Health Certificate done by a local vet.
